Basketball Game Preview: North Charleston Cougars vs. Burke Bulldogs

North Charleston and Burke are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the North Charleston Cougars will get right back to it and host the Burke Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Charleston is looking for their season's first win.

On Friday, North Charleston had to suffer through a 56-17 loss at the hands of Stall.

Meanwhile, Burke played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Wando, falling 57-37. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Warriors are ranked sixth).

North Charleston's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Burke, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

North Charleston was dealt a bruising 69-35 defeat at the hands of Burke in their previous matchup back in January. Can North Charleston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
