Brother Martin is 9-0 against Destrehan since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Brother Martin Crusaders will challenge the Destrehan Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Brother Martin is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Louisiana's top teams: Newman, who was ranked fourth at the time (Brother Martin was ranked 11th). Brother Martin came up short against Newman on Tuesday, falling 4-0. The Crusaders' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in December of 2024, Destrehan was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They and Bourgeois finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Brother Martin's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-4-4. Destrehan's draw gives them a new season record of 7-5-5.

Brother Martin skirted past Destrehan 1-0 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brother Martin since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
