Adding to the longest winning streak in Clarence Cannon this week, Palmyra beat Clark County 52-7. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Panthers.

Highland was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from 10th to eighth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Cougars defeated Mark Twain 35-14.

Craig Smith threw for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 10-12 with 0 interceptions.

Trace Windsor was the best running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 146 yards as South Shelby defeated Louisiana. Jake Hammond also contributed to the rushing game with 10 yards on the ground.

Macon's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Smith has thrown for 1,134 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Watts has 25 catches for 614 yards.

An important game coming up in Clarence Cannon this week will be when Brookfield takes on Palmyra. The Bulldogs are in fourth place, while Kevin Miles' team is in first place.

Brookfield and the Cardinals played the most contested game in the league this week, with Brookfield eventually emerging with a 14-8 victory.
