Softball Recap: Brentwood Wins Going Away Against East Allegheny

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Allegheny, Brentwood was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the East Allegheny Wild Cats by a score of 8-4. That looming 8-4 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Spartans yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Carma Coberly, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Paige Boehm, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.

Coberly wasn't the only one making solid contact: Brentwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Brentwood's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for East Allegheny, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Brentwood will venture away from home to square off against Springdale at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Allegheny, they will host South Park at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Wild Cats surely won't give up without a fight.
