Basketball Game Preview: Ohatchee Indians vs. Cedar Bluff Tigers

The Ohatchee Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Cedar Bluff Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Ohatchee came up short against Westbrook Christian and fell 66-58.

Meanwhile, Cedar Bluff scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 92-74 fall against Sand Rock. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Cedar Bluff saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Shon Gleen went 6 for 8from beyond the arc on his way to 33 points and five rebounds. The contest was Gleen's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonas Brown, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and four blocks.

Ohatchee's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Cedar Bluff, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Ohatchee and Cedar Bluff were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, but Ohatchee came up empty-handed after a 60-59 loss. Can Ohatchee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
