Recap: McLean County Cougars vs. Ohio County Eagles
The McLean County Cougars posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 39-37 win over Ohio County. The win made it back-to-back wins for McLean County.
McLean County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarah Larkin, who scored five points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Katie McCoy, who scored five points along with five steals.
McLean County's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Ohio County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
McLean County will be playing in front of their home fans against Muhlenberg County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (Muhlenberg County is ranked 182nd, while McLean County is ranked 189th). Ohio County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Warren East at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Warren East will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
