Volleyball Recap: Gainesville Red Elephants vs. Lanier Longhorns
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Milton, Gainesville was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Lanier Longhorns as the Gainesville Red Elephants made off with a 3-0 victory. For the Red Elephants, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 loss the Longhorns walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 25-21.
Gainesville was led to victory by Avery Lindsey and Taylor Reid. Lindsey had 15 digs and 31 assists, while Reid had 17 kills and 14 digs. Lindsey is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted ten or more in the last 33 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Prentice McGarvey, who had 11 digs.
