Basketball Recap: Cane Bay Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Cane Bay had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 24-point drubbing they dealt Stall on Friday. The Cane Bay Cobras put the hurt on the Stall Warriors with a sharp 69-45 win. The Cobras have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 22 points or more this season.

Cane Bay found their leader in sophomore Christian Davis, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Davis. Amare Merrell was another key player, putting up eight points.

Cane Bay's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. As for Stall, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Cane Bay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-48 win against Cathedral Academy on the 7th. As for Stall, they will take on Summerville at 8:30 p.m. on January 10th. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Summerville has four straight victories, Stall has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
