Baseball Game Preview: Upper Arlington Golden Bears vs. Hilliard Davidson Wildcats

The Upper Arlington Golden Bears are taking a road trip to take on the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hilliard Davidson took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Upper Arlington, who comes in off a win.

Upper Arlington proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 14) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Hilliard Bradley. Surprisingly, this marked the Golden Bears' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Hilliard Davidson might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-3 to Olentangy Liberty, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wildcats have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Hilliard Davidson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnny DiBlasio, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. DiBlasio is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Upper Arlington's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Hilliard Davidson, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Upper Arlington couldn't quite get it done against Hilliard Davidson in their previous meeting last Wednesday as they fell 4-1. Can the Golden Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
