Soccer Game Preview: Pontiac vs. Academy of the Americas

The Pontiac Phoenix are taking a road trip to square off against Academy of the Americas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

While Pontiac's victory against Harper Woods wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Phoenix never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Tuesday. The result kept Pontiac happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Meanwhile, Academy of the Americas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Western International, falling 8-0.

Pontiac's victory bumped their record up to 4-0-1. As for Academy of the Americas, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
