Softball Recap: Simpson Takes a Loss

After flying high against Negreet last Monday, Simpson came back down to earth. The Simpson Broncos fell just short of the Hornbeck Hornets by a score of 10-8 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Broncos have suffered since March 2, 2024.

Simpson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hornbeck, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Simpson will square off against Evans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Hornbeck, they will challenge Ebarb at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
