Basketball Recap: Ulysses Comes Up Short

Ulysses was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 55-33 to the Cimarron Bluejays. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-36 back in December of 2024.

Ulysses' loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Cimarron, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-8.

Ulysses and Cimarron could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Ulysses will face off against Colby at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 259 places (270 vs. 11). Similarly, Cimarron (ranked 186th) will meet Southwestern Heights (ranked 45th) at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
