Recap: Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles vs. Viburnum Blue Jays
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Delta, the Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They walked away with a 67-60 win over Viburnum. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Eagle Ridge Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Margrabe, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Chase WIlliams, who scored 18 points.
Eagle Ridge Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Viburnum, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle Ridge Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Thomas Jefferson School at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Thomas Jefferson School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 back in December of 2023. As for Viburnum, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cuba at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Cuba presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Viburnum in Missouri (Cuba is ranked 271st, while Viburnum is ranked 562nd).
