Basketball Recap: Calexico Mission Falls to School for Entrepreneurship & Technology in First Game of Season

Calexico Mission kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. The matchup between the RoadRunners and the School for Entrepreneurship & Technology Lions didn't end well, with the RoadRunners falling 65-49. The RoadRunners were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Calexico Mission lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sergio Jacobo, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Elliot Zazueta, who earned 11 points.

The win got School for Entrepreneurship & Technology back to even at 1-1.

Calexico Mission and School for Entrepreneurship & Technology will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the RoadRunners see the court they'll take on Mountain Empire at 5:30 p.m. on December 4. As for School for Entrepreneurship & Technology, their break will end when they face Hilltop at 6:30 p.m. on December 2.
