Basketball Recap: Bryce Valley Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

With a playoff win on the line, Bryce Valley rose to the challenge on Thursday. They secured a 53-48 W over the Milford Tigers. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Tigers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 71-69 defeat.

Bryce Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Andrus led the charge by putting up 14 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Andrus is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zaren Roberts, who posted ten points and three steals.

Bryce Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milford only eight assists.

Despite the loss, Milford still got an impressive performance from Sadler Barnes, who went 8-for-19 on his way to 20 points. Kielen Tsosie was another key player, scoring seven points and seven boards.

Bryce Valley's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-14. As for Milford, their loss dropped their record down to 21-5.

Bryce Valley has already played their next contest, a 54-46 defeat against Panguitch on the 28th. As for Milford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-62 loss against Tintic on the 28th.
