Bryan County won the last time they faced Portal and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bryan County Redskins managed a 58-52 win over the Portal Panthers.

Despite the defeat, Portal saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Josh Coleman dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards. Coleman continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Kj Hunter was another key player, putting up seven points.

Bryan County is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Portal, their loss dropped their record down to 12-15.

Looking ahead, Bryan County will challenge McIntosh County Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. McIntosh County Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.3 points per game this season. Portal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
