Softball Recap: Maple Heights Comes Up Short

Maple Heights lost to Rhodes back in April of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mustangs came up short against the Rams, falling 14-1. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Angel Weems was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Maple Heights and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Rhodes, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Maple Heights will face off against Euclid at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rhodes, they will take on Magnificat at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Streaks have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
