Cumberland Valley won the last time they faced Cedar Cliff and things went their way on Monday too. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Colts. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 25-19.

Ella Wewer was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 19 assists and two aces. Emma Clark also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Cumberland Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They are a perfect 4-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Cumberland Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Cedar Cliff, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Cumberland Valley and Cedar Cliff could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Eagles (ranked 63rd) will meet State College (ranked fourth) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Cedar Cliff will square off against Central Dauphin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (242 vs. 7).
