Soccer Recap: Clinton Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Clinton had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Hernando Tigers a 2-0 shutout. This was payback for the Arrows, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Clinton pushed their record up to 10-5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Hernando, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5-1.

Clinton will take on Lewisburg on Saturday. Lewisburg will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Clinton surely won't give up without a fight. Hernando does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
