The University Christian Christians will venture away from home to challenge the True North Classical Academy Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, University Christian put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 49-17 win over Santa Fe. Given the Christians' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Raiders are ranked 347th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for True North Classical Academy, as they earned their first away victory of the season. Everything went their way against Archbishop McCarthy on September 12th as they made off with a 31-6 win.
True North Classical Academy's win came from a few key players University Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Zachary Katz, who threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns. Cecil Smith helped Katz out on the ground, rushing for 110 yards and one TD.
True North Classical Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Dominic Turnbull, Andy Lopez - Paiffer, and George Harris picked up one apiece.
University Christian pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
