Chatfield faced Waconia in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Gophers fell 2-0 to the Wildcats. The Gophers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Trindy Barkeim paced Chatfield's offense, picking up six kills. Barkeim got some help from Harper Goldsmith and her 17 assists.

Chatfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Waconia, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Chatfield will host Caledonia at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waconia, they will square off against Benilde-St. Margaret's at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
