Volleyball Recap: Crawford Comes Up Short

Crawford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Hyannis Longhorns. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Longhorns earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

While Crawford ultimately came up short, they really made Hyannis work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 27-25.

Crawford's offense was headlined by Keslyn Vogel and Ada Norman, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Kylee Osmotherly and her 14 assists. Peyton Osmotherly and Leah Holmgren kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Crawford's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Hyannis, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-19.

Crawford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Cody-Kilgore on the 18th. As for Hyannis, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Hemingford on the 18th.
