Baseball Game Preview: Timnath Cubs vs. Greeley Central Wildcats

Timnath is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Wednesday. They will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Greeley Central Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Greeley Central took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Timnath, who comes in off a win.

Timnath is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Loveland. Timnath came out on top against Loveland by a score of 8-4 on Saturday.

Timnath let Anthony Lombardi and Ryan Waymire run wild. Lombardi scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3, while Waymire scored a run while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases Lombardi has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Mitchell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Greeley Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Roosevelt on Saturday, falling 9-1.
