Preview: Zane Trace Pioneers vs. Paint Valley Bearcats
After two games on the road, Zane Trace is heading back home. They will take on The Paint Valley Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Zane Trace will be strutting in after a victory while Paint Valley will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Zane Trace took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 49-16 victory over Southeastern. The result was nothing new for Zane Trace, who have now won three matchups by 23 points or more so far this season.
Carter Langley was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Silas Stewart, who gained 81 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Paint Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were beaten by Unioto 45-7. The low total for Paint Valley limited their streak of high-flying scores to five in a row.
Zane Trace is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Paint Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
Zane Trace beat Paint Valley 35-27 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Does Zane Trace have another victory up their sleeve, or will Paint Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
