Volleyball Game Preview: Union Wildcats vs. St. Francis Borgia Knights + Official Tickets

The Union Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the St. Francis Borgia Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Francis Borgia took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Union, who comes in off a win.

If Owensville wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Union, they should've done a better job of containing Abigail Harles. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Dutchmen on Thursday for which the team can thank Harles, who had 22 digs and one assist. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Union was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (89-85), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-23, 10-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Macy Tall and Morgan Sherwood were among the main playmakers for Union as the former had 18 assists and four digs and the latter had eight digs, seven kills, and three aces. That's the most kills Sherwood has posted over her last 12 matches.

Meanwhile, St. Francis Borgia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Nixa.

St. Francis Borgia's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10-2. As for Union, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 7-19-1.

Union took their victory against St. Francis Borgia when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
