Basketball Recap: North Zulch Bulldogs vs. Fayetteville Lions

North Zulch was the 50-30 winner over Fayetteville when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The North Zulch Bulldogs took a 41-25 bruising from the Fayetteville Lions on Friday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fayetteville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lainey Gromaski out in front who posted a point along with ten boards and eight steals. Those eight steals gave Gromaski a new career-high. Paige Jurecka was another key player, putting up four points along with nine boards and five blocks.

North Zulch's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Fayetteville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-14.

North Zulch will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calvert at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Fayetteville will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Giddings at 12:00 p.m. on December 31st.
