Softball Recap: La Crosse Central Riverhawks vs. Tomah Timberwolves
La Crosse Central extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 5-17. They came up short against the Tomah Timberwolves, falling 11-0. The Riverhawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Timberwolves from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.
As for Tomah, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games.
For Tomah's part, Avery Brohmer was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Grace Johnson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Coming up, La Crosse Central is taking a road trip to face off against Arcadia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Riverhawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tomah, they will host Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
