Softball Recap: South Ripley Comes Up Short

South Ripley fell victim to Rising Sun and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 12-0 to the Shiners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Shiners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in April.

South Ripley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Rising Sun, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Ripley will host Oldenburg Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Twisters have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.67 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Rising Sun, they will be playing at home against Jac-Cen-Del at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
