Softball Recap: Herscher Tigers vs. Yorkville Christian Mustangs
There's no place like home for Herscher, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Yorkville Christian Mustangs on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
Lilly Tucek tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over 4.2 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Chloe Kinkade was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Keira Ahramovich, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Herscher moved to 13-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Yorkville Christian, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

As for Yorkville Christian, they will be playing at home against Providence Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
