Basketball Game Preview: Randall Raiders vs. Greenwood Rangers

The Randall Raiders will face off against the Greenwood Rangers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Randall is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 18 games.

Randall is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Borger: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Randall blew Borger out of the water with a 74-9 final score. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Greenwood suffered their biggest loss since January 7th on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 64-36 loss at the hands of Seminole. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 720th, while the Indians are ranked 280th).

Randall pushed their record up to 28-5 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.4 points over those games. As for Greenwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-17.

Everything came up roses for Randall against Greenwood in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 106-67 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Greenwood's Tatum Pierce, who posted 29 points.
