Overton extended their postseason success on Thursday against LaPoynor. They had just enough and edged out the Flyers 4-2. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Overton's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Landon Hill, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Rylan Holleman, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases.

Overton's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for LaPoynor, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.

As of now, neither Overton nor the Flyers have any future games scheduled.
