Soccer Recap: Christian Educational Consortium Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Doss, Christian Educational Consortium was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Bluegrass United Bluehawks. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Christian Educational Consortium were the better team in the second half.

Austin Abbott and Darius Porter scored both of Christian Educational Consortium's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The victory got Christian Educational Consortium back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Educational Consortium will square off against Pleasure Ridge Park at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bluegrass United, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Scott at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
