Football Recap: Centereach Comes Up Short

Centereach managed to slip by Newfield the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars were outmatched by the Wolverines and fell 50-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Centereach and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Newfield, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Centereach is set to take on their familiar foe Deer Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Newfield will square off against rival Huntington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
