Montgomery Catholic had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.2 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the LAMP Golden Tigers a 10-0 shutout. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting LAMP from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Kate Johnson led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Montgomery Catholic pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matches. As for LAMP, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Montgomery Catholic will head out on the road to square off against Smiths Station at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for LAMP, they will welcome Booker T. Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
