Basketball Recap: Maywood CES Comes Up Short

Maywood CES is still winless after their match against Los Angeles Leadership Academy on Saturday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 28-25 heartbreaker at the hands of the Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wolfpack have suffered since December 21, 2023.

Maywood CES's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

When Maywood CES and Los Angeles Leadership Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Maywood CES will try to stop Elizabeth's four-game winning streak when the meet at 4:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Similarly, Los Angeles Leadership Academy will face off against Animo De La Hoya and their three-game winning streak at 3:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
