Preview: Mahopac Indians vs. Brewster Bears
Mahopac is 3-0 against Brewster since April of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Mahopac Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Brewster Bears at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Mahopac's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Brewster has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Mahopac didn't have quite enough to beat Fox Lane and fell 10-7.
Meanwhile, Brewster took a serious blow against Yorktown on Friday, falling 37-6. While losing is never fun, Brewster can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 158th, while Yorktown is ranked 19th).
The losses dropped Mahopac to 4-3 and Brewster to 2-4.
Mahopac beat Brewster 49-39 when the teams last played back in November of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Brewster's Massimo Parrello, who rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
