Soccer Recap: Galax's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Galax barely beat Grayson County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Maroon Tide's defense stepped up to hand the Blue Devils an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. The game marked Galax's most dominant victory of the season so far.

The win (which was Galax's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those five contests. As for Grayson County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
