Volleyball Recap: Alpine Falls to Wink in First Game of Season

Alpine had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the Wink Wildcats. The Bucks haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Alpine started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-19, 25-20, 25-10.

Wink's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Alpine will be taking part in a tournament against Water Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wink, they will host Sierra Blanca at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
