Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is San Dimas' Seventh in Last Eight Outings

The San Dimas Saints beat the Colony Titans 5-2 on Wednesday. That's two games straight that the Saints have won by exactly three runs.

Tiffany Villegas was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Maya Medina, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

San Dimas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Colony, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Dimas will welcome Alta Loma at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Colony, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley View at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
