Ridgeview's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Friday. They breezed past the South Albany Redhawks to the tune of 27-0. Fans of the Ravens have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Ridgeview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gage Hobbs, who threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 63 yards. Those 63 rushing yards gave Hobbs a new career-high. Alex Deuser was another key rusher, gaining 81 total yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ridgeview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 233 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 186 rushing yards in five consecutive games dating back to last season.

Ridgeview's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for South Albany, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
