Football Recap: Thayer Central Titans vs. Lourdes Central Catholic Knights
After flying high against Centennial last Friday, Thayer Central came back down to earth. The Thayer Central Titans took a 40-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lourdes Central Catholic Knights. The loss was the Titans' first of the season.
Despite the loss, Thayer Central still got an impressive performance from Sam Souerdyke, who rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns. Souerdyke also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making 14 total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Thayer Central's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Lukas Kroll and Souerdyke.
