Chenango Valley came out on top against Waverly on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Warriors took their matchup against the Wolverines 9-6. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won three in a row.

Natalie Tyler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Amelia Paske and Caelyn Koch did most of the damage at the plate: Paske got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Koch went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Chenango Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Waverly, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chenango Valley will square off against Windsor Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Waverly, they will challenge Owego Free Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
