The Mt. Pleasant Cardinals will head out to square off against the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Pleasant is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.

Mt. Pleasant will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Overfelt, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cardinals came out on top against the Royals by a score of 10-5 on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Cardinals as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Santiago Ramirez, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Lopez Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Gunderson hit Yerba Buena with a five-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Aztec Warriors came up short against the Grizzlies, falling 9-1. The Aztec Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mt. Pleasant pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Yerba Buena, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Mt. Pleasant took their win against Yerba Buena in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 18-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
