Basketball Game Preview: Skipstone Academy Warriors vs. Central Georgia Arts

The Skipstone Academy Warriors will square off against Central Georgia Arts at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Skipstone Academy will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Community Christian, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Skipstone Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Community Christian on Friday, sneaking past 68-66. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Central Georgia Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 88-62 to Twiggs Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on January 3rd (56), Central Georgia Arts still had to take the loss.

Skipstone Academy's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6. As for Central Georgia Arts, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Skipstone Academy took their win against Central Georgia Arts in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 61-41. In that game, Skipstone Academy amassed a halftime lead of 32-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
