Softball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Sayville

Sayville had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Hampton Bays on Thursday. The Golden Flashes blew past the Baymen 10-2. The Golden Flashes haven't had any issues with the Baymen recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Sayville pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of three runs across that stretch. As for Hampton Bays, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Sayville and Hampton Bays will both be playing Islip the next time they take the field. The Baymen will host the Buccaneers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Golden Flashes will head out to face them at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
