Basketball Recap: Valencia's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Valencia extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Jadyn Montoya. The Valencia Jaguars claimed a resounding 50-22 win over the Los Alamos Hilltoppers thanks in part to Montoya, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 17 points in addition to eight steals and five boards. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Izabel Zamora, who posted nine points and five rebounds. Those nine points gave her a new career-high.

Valencia's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. As for Los Alamos, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valencia will challenge Miyamura at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Valencia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season. As for Los Alamos, they will welcome Pecos at 6:15 p.m. on December 19th.
