Softball Recap: Notre Dame Takes a Loss

Notre Dame lost against South Pittsburg back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fighting Irish came up short against the Pirates, falling 13-1. The Fighting Irish just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Notre Dame saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Scarlett Hughes, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Notre Dame's record is now 2-8. As for South Pittsburg, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame will be playing in front of their home fans against Chattanooga Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Pittsburg, they are taking a road trip to face off against Van Buren County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
