Basketball Game Preview: Osceola Bulldogs vs. Dorchester Longhorns

The Osceola Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Dorchester Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Osceola beat East Butler 42-37.

Bella Recker and Addison Theis were among the main playmakers for Osceola as the former dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds and the latter posted 19 points. Those 19 points gave Theis a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Dorchester put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Harvard 43-13. The squad ran away with 32 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.

Dorchester pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points per game. As for Osceola, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Osceola might still be hurting after the 49-25 loss they got from Dorchester in their previous meeting back in January. Can Osceola avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
