Baseball Recap: Liberty Charter Comes Up Short

Liberty Charter started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Castle Park. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty Charter saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Hays, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Hays is becoming a predictor of the Lions' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-6 when he doesn't). Isaac Anderson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Liberty Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Castle Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Liberty Charter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 30-1 victory against Bonsall on the 10th. As for Castle Park, they have also already played their next match, a 21-1 loss against Ramona on the 11th.
