Baseball Recap: Guthrie Takes a Loss

Guthrie lost to Enid back in March of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bluejays took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plainsmen. That's two games in a row now that the Bluejays have lost by exactly four runs.

Maddox Vaughan and Rainwater Jace stepped up to the plate in a big way. Vaughan got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run, while Jace went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Guthrie's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Enid, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Coming up, Guthrie will venture away from home to take on Santa Fe South at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Enid, they will welcome Westmoore at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
